Often Nurseries and preschools have very complex HR needs and as the business involves working with children, safeguarding is of paramount importance. Due to staffing levels these businesses do not have access to their own HR resource and therefore turn to HR Partner for advice and guidance.
In each case HR Partner provides both an onsite and offsite support services to these establishments depending on each individual case and the level of involvement required. In recent times, long term absence management has become a common problem within the childcare sector and HR Partner works with the management teams in each establishment offering the most appropriate advice on a case by case basis.
In most cases, we will manage the entire communication process with the employee including arranging meetings or home visits. Where appropriate we will introduce our specialist Occupational Health Service who can provide professional advice on long term medical conditions in the form of a medical report. Appropriate advice from a medical professional allows HR Partner to support the client in making a business decision appropriate to the absence case, ensuring that the client is acting within the boundaries of employment law at all times.
